Recipe: Solar Plexus Chakra Juice — Supporting The Digestive System

The solar plexus chakra, located in the upper abdomen, is associated with personal power, self-esteem, and confidence. When this chakra is balanced, we feel a sense of inner strength and vitality. One way to support the solar plexus chakra is through the foods we eat. By consuming natural foods with the same color as our energy centers, we can promote balance and a stronger sense of well-being within.

Making this yellow Solar Plexus Juice was one of my first attempts at healing my digestive system which had gone through a long period of stress and disease. Although I didn’t know much about chakra healing at the time, my intuition let me know that focusing on balancing my solar plexus chakra was a good start to improving my quality of life… And that intuitive feeling wasn’t wrong.

This recipe combines pineapple, lemon, and ginger; all yellow foods known for their energizing and uplifting properties. These three ingredients are also powerful aids to the digestion system and strengthening of the gut… Combined is a delicious result that’s simple and easy to incorporate daily.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients as directed above.
  2. Add pineapple, lemon, and ginger to a juicer or blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  4. If using a blender, strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove any pulp.
  5. Pour the juice into glasses and serve immediately (over ice, if desired).
