Recipe: Fruit Punch — A Cold-Pressed Juice With Real Ingredients

There’s something nostalgic about fruit punch.

For a lot of us, it reminds us of childhood—bright colors, summer afternoons, and something sweet waiting in the refrigerator. But traditional fruit punch is often loaded with added sugars, artificial flavors, and very little actual fruit. So I wanted to recreate that familiar flavor using nothing but real ingredients.

The result? A naturally sweet fruit punch that’s delicious, packed with vitamins, and costs about $20 to make—yielding twelve 8-ounce juices, or roughly $1.67 per bottle.

The Fruit Punch Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pineapples
  • 10 oranges
  • 10 peaches
  • 3 lemons
  • 3 limes
  • 2 cups of organic cherries
  • Organic ginger (to taste)

Cut your fruits then run everything through a slow masticating juicer, alternating softer and firmer produce for the best juice extraction. Stir well before bottling.

Yield: Approximately twelve, 8-ounce juices.

Why I Love This Fruit Punch Blend

Every ingredient contributes something unique—not only to the flavor but to your body.

Pineapple adds natural sweetness while providing bromelain, an enzyme known to support digestion.

Oranges bring plenty of vitamin C, helping support immune health while giving the juice its classic citrus flavor.

Peaches create a smooth, mellow sweetness that balances the brighter citrus notes.

Lemons and limes brighten everything up while adding another boost of vitamin C and antioxidants.

Cherries deepen the color into that signature fruit punch shade while providing naturally occurring anthocyanins, compounds associated with fighting oxidative stress.

Organic ginger finishes the juice with a subtle warmth while supporting digestion and helping balance the overall sweetness.

Together, they create a balanced—not overly sweet, fresh fruit flavor.

What It Costs

One of the biggest misconceptions about juicing is that it’s expensive.

This entire batch cost approximately $20 in produce and yielded 12 servings.

That breaks down to:

  • Total cost: ~$20
  • Yield: 12 juices (8 oz each)
  • Cost per juice: ~$1.67

Compare that to purchasing fresh cold-pressed juice at $8–12 per bottle, and making it yourself quickly becomes one of the most affordable wellness habits you can build.

A Few Tips

  • Drink fresh whenever possible for the brightest flavor.
  • Store in airtight glass bottles in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours.
  • For longer storage, freeze immediately after juicing and thaw overnight in the refrigerator before drinking.
  • Shake before serving since natural separation is completely normal.

Final Thoughts

Healthy doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s simply taking fresh fruit, adding a little ginger, and creating something that tastes familiar—but nourishes you in a completely different way.

If you’ve been looking for a homemade juice that feels like summer, this might become one of your favorites.
